Brookdale Fort Myers The Colony uses two memory care programs - Clare Bridge and Solace. The Clare Bridge program is an exclusive brand of dementia care that was established more than 30 years ago. This program provides residents with six daily activities that encourage the use of their current skills and abilities. Meanwhile, the Solace program provides additional support specifically to residents in the late stages of dementia. It offers assistance with grooming and includes specialized activities involving music and aromatherapy.
Rest assured, staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to be alerted to an emergency, and an alert system is also used for added security. Throughout the community, you will find a variety of safe engagement opportunities, including gardening activities as well as kitchen and handywork. If needed, assistance during mealtime is offered. Plus, the culinary team provides easy-to-manage selections in a small dining room with pre-selected seating.
