Located in Andersonville, Hartwell Place is a welcoming, intimate assisted living community specializing in memory care for older adults. With 28 private rooms, Hartwell Place is intentionally small, because we know that familiarity and connections are the keys to a good life with dementia. Here, no one is a stranger - we see ourselves as family.

At CMSS, memory care isn’t just something we offer - it’s something we’ve pioneered. One of the first organizations in the Chicago area to specialize in dementia care, we’ve been supporting individuals living with memory loss for over a century.

We opened Hartwell Place 25 years ago, over the decades, we've learned that exceptional memory care is about more than a safe and supportive environment.
