About Plattduetsche Home Society

We would very much like to provide an overview of our communities, and why we are so proud of our reputation as the hidden gem of senior living on Long Island.

Conveniently located in Western Nassau County, we are near Queens County, all Parkways and the LIRR. An even closer train station connection will soon open on Hempstead Turnpike, by the UBS Arena, making Plattseniorliving even more convenient for public transportation.

Because we have served seniors as a nonprofit organization for more than a century, we provide amenities, services and support at price points presenting exceptional value, for all our residents.

If you google "PlattSeniorLiving.com" you can see our web site and take a virtual tour. While many of our seniors initially envision that they would rather extend their stay in their own homes, this often leads to loneliness, isolation, accelerated sarcopenia, and cognitive decline. All our residents are encouraged to engage in group activities, including playing games, listening to live music, going on trips, doing arts and crafts, and making connections leading to new interests and activities. Engagement has been proven to be the greatest tonic to increase one’s “health span.”
