Stratford Home is a home plus facility located on the East side of Wichita, Ks. The home, itself, was built in 1964 in a quiet community located near several ammenties. The facility was remodeled in 2011 to accomodate the needs of elderly persons seeking a home-like atmosphere and help with daily activities. The facility officially opened in May of 2011 and can house six live-in residents and six adult daycare residents. Currently, Stratford Home is not part of a chain but independently owned. 24-hour licensed staff are available to help with any task an elderly person may have trouble doing alone. The mission of Stratford Home is to provide safe and efficient patient-centered care while attaining respect and dignity for each resident. The smaller setting at Stratford Home allows patients to receive more individualized care while also creating a 'family' like atmosphere for not only residents but for staff and family members as well.
