1. About This Privacy Policy
Spiro Senior is the mobile geriatric medical practice operated by Dermatech Mobile Care, LLC, a Florida limited liability company doing business as Spiro Senior (“Spiro Senior,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website at www.spirosenior.com (the “Site”), how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.
This Policy applies to information collected through the Site. It does not apply to the protected health information we maintain about our patients in connection with the medical care we provide. That information is protected under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and is described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which is provided to patients and available upon request.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us. If you contact us through the Site – for example, by submitting our “Become a Patient” inquiry or appointment-request form – we collect the information you choose to provide, which includes:
- Your first and last name;
- Your email address;
- Your phone number;
- Your preferred location (selected from our service locations); and
- Any information you include in the free-text message describing your inquiry or request.
The form does not create an online account and does not ask for your Social Security number, insurance identifiers, or clinical information. Please do not include sensitive medical details in the free-text message; if you do, we treat that information as confidential and protect it under the safeguards described below.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our Site may automatically collect limited technical information when you visit, such as your device type, browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits. This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies as described in Section 4.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiry and, where you request it, schedule or evaluate an appointment and begin the intake process;
- Communicate with you about our services;
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site; and
- Comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use information submitted through the Site for unrelated marketing.
4. Cookies and Analytics
Our Site may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site and to understand how visitors use it through basic analytics. Cookies are small files placed on your device. Most web browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings; however, some features of the Site may not function properly if cookies are disabled. We use this information only to operate and improve the Site and do not use it to sell your information.
5. How We Share Information
We share personal information only as needed to operate our practice and respond to you, and only with appropriate protections:
- Service providers. We may share information with vendors that host our Site, support our communications, or help us operate our business, who are permitted to use the information only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our patients, our workforce, or others.
- Business transfers. If our practice is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
6. How We Protect Your Information
We maintain administrative, physical, and technical safeguards designed to protect the information you submit through the Site. Information submitted through our forms is transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and is accessible only to authorized personnel who follow up on your inquiry. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information consistent with applicable law and accepted standards.
7. How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep the information you submit through the Site only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry, to provide and administer care if you become a patient, and to meet our legal, regulatory, and professional obligations. When information is no longer needed, we dispose of it securely.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You may choose not to provide information through the Site, although we may then be unable to respond to your request. You may ask us about the information you have submitted, request that we correct or delete it, and opt out of non-essential communications by contacting us using the information in Section 12. If you are or become our patient, you also have rights regarding your medical information under HIPAA and Florida law, as described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
9. Children’s Privacy
Our Site and services are intended for adults. The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information through the Site, please contact us so we can delete it.
